Sample Mix Station Module Removal and Replacement

Parts and Materials Required

• Proper PPE

• Hex screwdriver, 4 mm (long shank preferred)
• SAMPLE MIX STATION, ASSY

Time Required

• 30 minutes

Removal Procedure

Wear clean nitrile gloves while performing the following procedures.

1. Put on proper PPE.

WARNING—MTUs may be present in module. It is necessary to remove all MTUs to avoid contamination.

2. Clear MTUs using one of the following methods
   • Reboot the Panther System main software.

     Or

   • Start Service Software, navigate to the Service Software System tab, and click Clear MTUs.

     

3. Close Service Software, if necessary, and power down the Panther System.
4. Open the right side door panel.
5. Carefully slide the Service Drawer out 1/4 of the way to access the Sample Mix Station module.
   Pay careful attention that no cables, lines, or hoses are caught when opening the drawer.
6. Using a long shank 4 mm hex wrench, loosen the 5 mm socket head cap screw that secures the rear of the Sample Mix Station. It may be difficult to see this screw due to the wires in the rear of the module. It is not necessary to remove this screw; it only needs to be loosened to allow the module to slide out from under it.

   

7. Open the Service Drawer 3/4 of the way.
8. Using a 4 mm hex wrench, remove the two 5 mm socket head cap screws from the front of the module.

   

9. Slide the module toward the front of the system to free it from the rear screw.

   

10. Disconnect the CAN/Power bus from the PCB.

    

11. Lift the module out of the Service Drawer and place it on a properly prepared work surface.

    

Note—If returning the module, decontaminate the module and complete the COD/OBF/RMA Form [19-02-APX-A].

Replacement Procedure

1. Verify the following DIP switch settings:

   DIP Switch	Mix Load Station
   1	OFF
   2	ON
   3	OFF
   4	OFF

2. Reverse the removal procedure.
3. While watching that no hoses or cables are caught, carefully push the Service Drawer into the system and confirm that all latches are properly locked.
4. Close the right panel door.
5. Power on the Panther System.
6. Install Firmware to the module.

Alignment/Calibration

1. Using Service Software, teach the Distributor to the Sample Mix Station.

Verification

1. Verify that the Load Station's mixing speed reaches 16Hz.
2. Using Service Software, perform a System Level Operational Qualification.
