Waste to Drain Installation

To install a PLUS module, the System requires the following:

• Panther Plus can only be installed on Panther Systems Serial #00375 and above.
• PCAP Monitor required if installing MTUMulti-tube unit—Container used to process tests in the instrument. An MTU contains five separate reaction tubes. The MTU is moved through the instrument by the linear distributor and includes five tiplets for pipettiing to be used in the mag wash station. Expansion ONLY
• Dell XE3
• Software v7.x and above
• Waste to Drain - drain must be able to handle a minimum flowrate of 1L/min.
• Waste to Drain - drain must be 15m (49ft) or less from the Waste to Drain pump.
• Waste to Drain - drain must be no higher than 1.2m (3.9ft) from the floor

• Tape, magnets, or similar

Time Required

• 3 Hours for SN#01937 and Below
• 2 Hours for SN#01938 or Above

Procedure

1. Prepare the Panther
   • If the Panther Serial Number is lower than SN#01938 Start Here
   • If the Panther Serial Number is SN#01938 or above Start Here
2. Create Waste-to-Drain Tube Access Hole in Panther Waste Drawer
3. Install Waste-to-Drain Bottle Straw Fitting in the Removable Waste Bottle
4. Installation of the Waste-to-Drain Hardware
5. Route the Tubing & Signal Cable to the Waste-to-Drain Pump
