Oil LCMP Pump Removal and Replacement

Scope

Perform this procedure when the system reports a target not reached error from the pump even after it has been calibrated.

  • 15 minutes per pump

Removal Procedure

  1. Put on proper PPE.
  2. ClosedLoosen and remove both Oil Pump fittings.
  3. ClosedUsing a 3 mm hex driver, loosen, but do not remove) the three socket head cap screws that secure the Oil Pump and bracket to the back right side of the system.
  4. Once the hardware is loose, carefully lift the pump up and out to expose the LCMP PCB and electrical connection.
  5. ClosedDisconnect the CAN BUS connector from the module.
  6. Remove the oil pump module.
    Note—If the module will be returned, clean the module.

Replacement Procedure

  1. Make sure the new LCMP pump is set up to be an Oil Pump.
    1. ClosedLocate the pump DIP switches.
    2. Set the DIP switch as follows:
      DIP SwitchOil Pump
      1ON
      2OFF
      3OFF
      4OFF
  2. Reverse the removal procedure to install the new pump.
  3. Install Panther System firmware.

Verification

  1. Perform a Magnetic Wash Visual Dispense Verification procedure.
