Chiller Ramp Temperature Sensor Removal and Replacement

Parts and Materials Required

Time Required

  • 30 minutes (does not include re-teaching the Distributor)

Removal Procedure

  1. Put on proper PPE.
  1. Remove the Chiller Ramp.
  2. ClosedUnplug the temperature sensor cable from the Chiller Ramp control PCB.
  3. ClosedUsing a small Phillips screwdriver, remove the screw that secures the white temperature sensor tab in place.
  4. Remove the temperature sensor.

Replacement Procedure

  1. ClosedFill the temperature sensor hole with heat sink compound prior to inserting the thermistor. Make sure there is no excess compound outside of the hole. Wipe clean/wipe excess heat sink compound after inserting the thermistor.
  2. Place the temperature sensor in the temperature sensor hole. Make sure the sensor is fully seated.
  3. ClosedScrew the white tab back into place.
  4. Clean off any excess heat sink compound from the outside of the sensor mounting location.
  5. ClosedPlug the temperature sensor cable back into the Chiller Ramp control PCB.
  6. Replace the Chiller Ramp.

Alignment/Calibration

  1. Align the Distributor to the Chiller Ramp.

Verification

  1. Perform a System Level Operational Qualification.
  2. Verify Chiller Ramp is within temperature specification.
