Thermal Sensor Ranges for Aptima Assays
|
Note—Temperature verification is performed by monitoring temperatures through the system GUI. |
| Module | Specifications |
|---|---|
| Incubators | |
| High Temperature (HT) | 64 °C ± 0.5 °C |
| Amplification (AMP) | 42.7 °C ± 0.3 °C |
| Transition (TRAN) | 43.7 °C + 1.0 °C/ – 0.5 °C |
| Load Stations | |
| HPA |
70.5 °C – 73.5 °C |
| AMP | 44 °C – 46 °C |
| Bays | |
| Reagent | 16.5 °C – 19.5 °C |
| Sample | 15.5 °C – 22.5 °C |
| Vacuum Pump Level | |
| Vacuum Pump (out of range process control limits during assay processing) | 4 inches Hg – 12 inches Hg |
| Vacuum Pump (steady state vacuum limit, non-assay processing) | 7 inches Hg, ±1.0 (Use this value to verify operation after service) |
| Ramps | |
| Chiller | 17 °C – 19 °C |
| Modules | |
| Cooling Module | >8 °C, module drop below this value |
|
* Note: For Incubators in an ambient environment of 15–30 °C, allow incubators to warm up for ~25 minutes to reach setpoint. This "warm-up"/"cool-down" time should apply for all thermally-controlled modules of an "ambient" system. Chillers, the Reagent Bay, and the Sample Bay should cool to setpoint in 25 minutes. Incubators and load stations should warm to setpoint in 25 minutes. |
