Prepare the Panther for install with a Fusion

The Fusion can be installed on a new Panther System, or on an existing Panther System.
Because the installation procedures are slightly different for each situation, use the instructions below to prepare a Panther for the Panther Fusion upgrade.

New Panther (Panther out of crate)

Perform the PANTHER System Installation procedure, with the following exceptions:

Note—Please save all removed/relevant parts as they will be used later in the Fusion installation procedure.

1. In the Panels and Canopy Installation section, DO NOT install the left side canopy panel/microswitch, canopy support bar, left side trim piece, front canopy door, front canopy door shocks, front and back canopy covers, and the front panel left corner piece.

   Note—The front panel left corner piece does not need to be saved as it will be replaced by a Panther Fusion part.

2. In the Trims and Door Panel Assembly section, DO NOT install the bottom left trim fixtures, PC panel door, left door and the Panther Marketing mid bay drawer front panel.

   Note—The PC panel door does not need to be saved as it will be replaced by a Panther Fusion part.

3. Install the UPS, then skip ALL sections from Software Installation through Pipettor Teaching.
   (These sections will be performed later in the procedure.)

   Note— ALL Fusion Installs require the Output Voltage on the UPS to be set at 220V.

4. Go to the Uncrate the Fusion section, next, to continue.

Existing Panther System (Panther already installed)

Start with the Uncrate the Fusion section to begin the installation.
