Pipettor Module Gantry Replacement

ClosedGantry Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the canopy covers, front panel, and side canopy.
  2. Remove the left and right pipettors (you may need to transfer the cable routing clamps to frame).
  3. Unplug and secure the following left and right cables from PipMain board:
    1. X flex cables
    2. X motor cable
    3. X encoder cable
    4. Secure the stand located on the right-hand side (Search for "Unlocking Pipettor Restraints" in the Service Manual).
  4. Unscrew the 4 screws (2 per hinge located behind the rear x-axis rail).
    Note—DO NOT unlock the restraints yet.

  5. Unlock the restraints.
  6. Remove Pipettor frame/rail (helps if two people are present).

ClosedGantry Replacement Procedure

  1. Use the reverse removal procedure.
