Luminometer Injector Removal and Replacement

Parts and Materials Required

• Proper PPE

• Customer provided absorbent pad
• Slotted screwdriver
• DUAL INSTRUMENT LUMINOMETER INJECTOR

Time Required

• 45min (includes performing a Flashcheck Verification procedure ).

Removal Procedure

1. Put on proper PPE.

2. Power down the Panther System.
3. Open the right side door panel.
4. Remove the Luminometer injectors by unscrewing the two screws that secure the injectors to the Luminometer module.

   

5. Place the injectors securely on the absorbent pad or wrap in an absorbent towel.
6. Unscrew the luminometer injector fittings from the Auto Detect 1 and 2 pumps.

Replacement Procedure

1. Tighten the Luminometer fittings on the Auto Detect 1 and Auto Detect 2 Pumps as shown in the following photo.

   

2. Insert the injector into the Luminometer cover.

   Note—The injector tubing routes toward the right side of the module.

3. Finger tighten the Luminometer injectors into the Luminometer lid.

   

4. Close the right side door panel.

Alignment/Calibration

• Perform a Luminometer OLV calibration.

Verification

1. Perform a Luminometer Darkcount procedure.
2. Perform a Panther Luminometer Flashcheck Verification procedure.
