Cooling Module Coolant Pump Removal and Replacement (Dual fan)

Parts and Materials Required

Time Required

  • 30 minutes (does not include cooling module removal/replacement)

Removal Procedure

  1. Put on proper PPE.
  2. Remove the Cooling Module from the system.
  3. ClosedUnplug the pump connector from the PCB.

  4. ClosedSlide the pump out of the housing for easier access, then disconnect both luer connectors. Use a paper towel to catch fluid drips. Label the input/outpout fluid lines to re-connect correctly after installing the new pump.

  1. Remove the pump from the Cooling Module.

Replacement Procedure

  1. Reverse the removal procedure.
  2. Reinstall the Cooling Module.

Verification

  1. Visually inspect the fluid height within the Cooling Module.
  2. Verify the temperatures of the Sample Bay and Reagent Bay.
  3. Verify vacuum pressure.
  4. Verify that the Universal Fluid Drawer opens, closes, locks, and unlocks.
  5. Verify that the Waste Drawer opens, closes, locks, and unlocks.
  6. Verify that the waste bag presence sensor operates.
  7. Verify Liquid Waste Bottle level sensing.
