Optimize Drives - Disk Defragmentation in Image v6.0.13

Disk Defragmentation in Win10 has been renamed as Optimize Drives.

On Image v6.0.13 Optimize Drives MUST be enabled before running.
After completing drive Optimization the Optimize Drive service MUST be disabled.

Time Required

• 30 minutes (time dependent on the size of the PC hard drive and the degree of fragmentation).

Procedure

1. From the FSE Shield, select Command Prompt.
2. Enter Services.msc in the Command Prompt window.
3. In the new window that appears, scroll down and select Optimize Drives.
4. Right-click Optimize Drives and select Properties from the drop-down list.
5. From the Optimize Drives Properties pop-up, change the Startup Type to Manual and click Apply.
6. You can now Optimize the PC / Run Defragmentation.
7. You can follow the procedures in Defragmenting the Panther System PC.
8. Once Defragmentation / Drive Optimization is completed, disable the Optimize Drives Service:
   1. From the FSE Shield, select Command Prompt.
   2. Enter Services.msc in the Command Prompt window.
   3. In the new window that appears, scroll down and select Optimize Drives.
   4. Right-click Optimize Drives and select Properties from the drop-down list.
   5. From the Optimize Drives Properties pop-up, change Startup Type: from Manual to Disabled and click Apply.
