Fault Protection

Each CU PCB is able to monitor the +24V input voltage for over and under voltage detection and signals the status to the COP.

Each +24V output driver IC for a DC-pump, DC-motor or a heat foil has a diagnose function, to signal a possible “Open Load” condition to the respective processor at that CU PCB.

The Pipettor Module CU PCB is able to switch independently the motor power of the left and right X-, Y- and Z-motor ON and OFF. The PIP CU processor is able to switch off the motor power in case of emergency (crash or jam).

The Cooling CU PCB and Chiller Ramp CU PCB monitor the Setback voltage of the Peltier devices so a fault can be detected.
