Universal Fluid Priming
The Panther System uses the following two priming scenarios:
- Full Prime
Operation of pumping fluid through tubing to ensure proper and consistent fluid delivery (remove air from the tubing, etc.).—A full prime is performed if any bottle has been changed or if too much time has elapsed since the last prime. In all other cases, a Mini-Prime is performed. - Mini-Prime—A Mini-Prime operates under the assumption that all fluid lines are still sufficiently primed since the previous priming operation. The main purpose of a Mini-Prime is to ensure that the Luminometer injector tubes are free from air bubbles (from the pump to the injector) and to check the Magnetic Wash aspirators for clogs.

Note—In order to meet the time duration requirements, priming activities should be performed in parallel as much as possible. |
