Safely Extracting Tubes from the Thermocycler

Procedure

If a Tube disposal issues have been reported (e.g. cap/vial left in thermocycler), follow the procedure outlined below:

1. If the Tube is capped - use Service Software to remove and dispose of the Tube.
2. If the Tube is Uncapped, the tube MUST be removed manually.
   1. Manually remove a cap from a Fusion Tube Tray (can use tweezers, pliers).
   2. Manually cap the tube in the Thermocycler , using the cap just removed from the tube tray.
   3. Dispose of the capped tube manually into the Fusion waste.
