Electrical Warnings and Precautions
Observe the following warnings and precautions:
Power Rating—Be sure the system is connected to a power receptacle that provides voltage and current within the specified rating. Use of an incompatible power receptacle can produce electrical shock and fire hazards. |
Electrical Grounding—Never use a two-prong plug or extension cord to connect primary power to the system. Use of a two-prong adapter disconnects the utility ground, creating a severe shock hazard. Always connect the system power cord directly to a three-prong receptacle with a functional ground. |
Spilled Liquids—Avoid spilling liquids onto the system. Fluid spilled into the internal components creates a potential shock hazard. Wipe up all spills immediately. Do not operate the system if internal components have been exposed to fluid. Unplug the system if there is a fluid spill in or on the system. |
Replacement Fuses—Use replacement fuses with the required current rating and specification. Improper fuses or short-circuiting the fuse holders can cause fire or damage the system. |
Internal Voltages—Always turn off the Power Switch and unplug the system power cord before working with internal components. Remove watches and jewelry before removing any panels from the system. |
Warning Labels—Electrical warning symbols appear on certain system component labels. The purpose of the marking is to alert you to use caution when servicing a component or the system. Be aware that ignoring the instructions on the label can result in a hazardous condition that can cause injury. |
Laser Warning—This product utilizes internal barcode scanners with visible red laser light. Long term viewing of the laser light could result in eye damage. Never stare into the barcode scanner laser light. This is a Class 2 laser product in accordance to EN 60825-1: 2007 and complies with 21 CFR 1040.10 and 1040.11 except for deviations pursuant to Laser Notice N. 50, dated June 2007. |
