Unlocking the Pipettor Restraints

Parts and Materials Required

Time Required

• 1–2 minutes (does not include re-teaching the pipettor)

Removal Procedure

1. Put on proper PPE.
2. Power down the Panther System.
3. Remove the gantry shield.
4. Orient Reagent Pipettor arm over Amp Load Station and move up. Orient the Sample Pipettor arm over the Endozime bottle and move up.
5. Unclip the restraints at the front of the system.

   

6. Prop the rack up in the servicing position using the aluminum latch located on the right-hand side rail of the entire rack.

   

   Caution—Do not initialize or operate the pipettors while they are in the servicing position.

7. Once servicing is complete, reposition the latch so that the rack is in the operating position and re-secure with the restraints on both sides.
8. Check routing of X-axis flex cables.

Alignment/Calibration

1. Auto-teach both Pipettor arms to their reference locations.
