Output Queue Aspirator Assembly Removal and Replacement

Removal Procedure

  1. Put on proper PPE.
  1. Power down the Panther System.
  2. Remove the plastic cover from the top of the Output Queue rails.
  3. ClosedUsing a 2.5 mm hex key, remove the two 2.5 mm screws that secure aspirator assembly front cover.
  4. Remove the red vacuum lines from the Vacuum Manifold.
  5. Remove the aspirator assembly.

Replacement Procedure

  1. Reverse the removal procedure.
  2. Verify that connections are properly seated and screws are all in place.

Verification

  1. Start the Panther System main software and PrimeClosedOperation of pumping fluid through tubing to ensure proper and consistent fluid delivery (remove air from the tubing, etc.). the system (see the Panther System Operator's Manual).
  2. Verify that there is no liquid left in the MTUClosedMulti-tube unit—Container used to process tests in the instrument. An MTU contains five separate reaction tubes. The MTU is moved through the instrument by the linear distributor and includes five tiplets for pipettiing to be used in the mag wash station. after aspiration.
