Updated Linear Distributor Model Information
Description
The new and improved Linear Distributor is available as a spare part [ASY-10492].
This new module is cut-in on new Panther systems from Serial Numbers 02067-02076, and 02089 and above.
Model Evolution
The following design changes have been implemented to increase Linear Distributor reliability.
Major changes include:
- A one-piece, fixed, and aligned hook design—do not perform Hook Alignment Procedure on the new distributor.
- A new, shorter Hook Flex Cable is installed on serial # 02067 and above to reduce wear during hook movement.
- Built-in standoffs to prevent shorting of the Theta PCB
- Full weld of the Z-axis shaft to the motor reduces risk of shaft separation.
- Cast aluminum body replaces the old injection molded plastic body to increase durability.
- Custom molded theta gear replaces the old gear.
- New theta motor encoder orientation reduces risk of dirt accumulation.
- Improved wire routing increases strain relief.
- Addition of cable ties reduces wire damage and connector failures.
- Door opener and belt holder is now one-piece (used to be two).
- Side of Distributor head is now metal (used to be clear plastic).
- New injection molded gear (with higher quality plastic) is now black (used to be white).
