Centrifuge General Information

 

The centrifuge can hold up to 5 capped reaction tubes at a time. The front (right) Fusion Pipettor places the capped reaction tube into the centrifuge. The back (left) Vial Robot (TTA) arm removes the reaction tube from the centrifuge and places it in the thermocycler.

The centrifuge location and geometry allows both arms to load/unload reaction tubes without colliding with each other. The maximum revolution speed is 3,000 revolutions per minute. Two vial presence sensors are mounted to the centrifuge to verify that a reaction tube is attached to the cap during the load and unload process.
