Verify alignment in Y-Direction of scissor

  1. Make sure the Panther System is powered off.
  2. ClosedInsert the black MTUClosedMulti-tube unit—Container used to process tests in the instrument. An MTU contains five separate reaction tubes. The MTU is moved through the instrument by the linear distributor and includes five tiplets for pipettiing to be used in the mag wash station. Queue Teach Tool into the MTU Queue.

  3. Raise the scissor lift to be level with the MTU Queue.
  4. Swing the carrier platform into the MTU Queue.
  5. Slightly lift the carrier platform so that the alignment pin is in the MTU Queue teach tool.
  6. ClosedVerify that the carrier platform is properly aligned using the MTU Queue teach tool.

  7. ClosedIf the alignment front pin is not within the field goal, note the direction and how many tick marks it will take to center the pin to the field goal.

    1. Unfuse the MTU Sidecar.
    2. Loosen the Guide Plate screws.
    3. ClosedUse the direction and tick marks recorded in step 7 to realign the guide plate left or right, in order to center the MTU Queue alignment pin as shown in step 6.

    4. Tighten the Screws.
    5. Fuse the MTU Sidecar.
  8. Continue to MTU Queue to Sidecar Alignment
